Usually unniappam is prepared by rice flour.I just took a wheat flour instead of rice flour.I like that wheat flour smell too.I got this recipe from magazine and came out well. This is a instant appam too.......;)Today I want to share this wheat banana appam recipe .
Ingredients
2 cups Wheat Flour
1/2 cups-Jaggery
2 Banana
2 teaspoon Rava
2 teaspoon Elachi powder
2 teaspoon Dryginger powder
Directions
Add wheat flour in a bowl.Take banana cut into small pieces and grind it in a mixie into a smooth paste.Add this paste to the wheat flour. Heat pan add water and jaggery.Mix well until the jaggery melt completely.Pour this mixture into the wheat flour .Add elachi powder and dry ginger powder to mix well. This consistency should be thicker not watery.Keep this batter sit for just 15 minutes.
Heat the appam pan and put oil into those holes. Now add the required amount of batter into the holes. When it gets roasted, turn anotherside and make sure appam is fully roasted.
Now wheat banana appam is ready.
I love this one.. Just cant stop eating one.. Beautifully made :)
